Involvement

Are you aged 16 to 25?

Do you help and support an adult family member or friend who could not manage without this help?

We’d like to know what things support you in that role

Advisory Group

We have set up an Advisory Group to advise the project team. This includes members from:

  • Association of Directors of Adult Social Services
  • Carers Trust
  • The Children’s Society
  • Department of Health
  • Adult social care providers
  • Organisations representing disabled people.

Young Adult Carer Research Group

We have also set up a young adult carer research group. This group meets three times a year, and the young people chose how they want to be involved such as by coming to meetings, commenting by email, on the phone or by skype. The young adult carers have discussed the research information and the design and phrasing of the survey and some were judges for the image competition.

A case story about the young adult carers’ involvement in the project will be available shortly.
